Renting the 2013 BYD e6
For a rental car, the 2013 BYD e6 could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
The electric motor, paired with a 1-speed automatic, drives it. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Its rating is 33.6 kWh/100 km: about 101 kWh for 300 km. The EPA rates its range at 204 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. The electricity for 100 km comes to about $5.04 at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
The e6 in everyday use
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

The steps
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.
The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
What to bring
We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
