Luup alternative with this car
If you need a rental car, the 2018 BYD e6 is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
The numbers in plain words
The powertrain here is the electric motor with front-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Rated energy use is 29.0 kWh per 100 km. A full charge is rated for 301 km; plan for less in the cold. For 1,000 km, budget about $43.50 at our price setting.
When the e6 makes sense
It suits city driving and anyone with charging at home or work. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.
Space, size and seats
As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier. In plain terms, its 453 litres of luggage space hold a family's bags for a long weekend.
Rent this car
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
How booking works
Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Driver basics
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
