Luup alternative: the 1986 Cadillac DeVille
If a rental car is the plan, the 1986 Cadillac DeVille is worth a look; here is why. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
A good match for
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
The DeVille in everyday use
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk.

What we ask of drivers
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
Booking made plain
A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. You pay only once you approve the offer.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
Still deciding?
Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.

Can I rent a 1986 Cadillac DeVille in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
