Luup alternative: the 1997 Eagle Talon

Here is the 1997 Eagle Talon, for anyone after a rental car. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Specs, explained

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with a 5-speed manual, drives it. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 29 litres, from its 9.8 L/100 km rating. In energy, every 100 km costs about $17.15 at our price setting.

Room inside

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The body is 4.44 m long and 1.74 m wide. It fits most condo and driveway spots. The trunk holds 425 litres by the EPA's count: a family's bags for a long weekend.

Good uses for the Talon

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Renting this car

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

Booking made plain

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Driver requirements

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
