Renting the 2016 Ford C-MAX
Luup alternative and the 2016 Ford C-MAX: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The numbers in plain words
The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid, with front-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Expect about 18 litres for every 300 km, going by its 6.1 L/100 km combined rating. Driving 300 km costs roughly $28.38 at our price setting.
Who rents the C-MAX
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.
The C-MAX in everyday use
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. In plain terms, its 680 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
Renting it
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Before you rent
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
What to expect when you book
Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.
Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
