Renting the 2016 Ford Escape
For a rental car, here is what the 2016 Ford Escape brings, and how to request one. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Specs, explained
It runs the 1.6L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
At 8.9 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 27 litres of fuel. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $41.40 at our price setting.
When the Escape makes sense
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Inside and out
Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.
Can I rent it?
Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
Booking, step by step
The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
Rules for renters
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
Still deciding?
Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.
