Luup alternative and the 2009 Ford Explorer
Here is the 2009 Ford Explorer from the angle of someone searching for Luup alternative. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Specs, explained
The powertrain here is the 4.6L 8-cylinder with rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Fuel use is rated 13.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 41 litres. A 300 km weekend costs about $64.17 in energy at our price setting.
What the Explorer is like
As an SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Getting the car booked
Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
What we need from you
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
