The 2018 Ford Flex: Luup alternative
Luup alternative and the 2018 Ford Flex: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The numbers in plain words
Under the hood: the 3.5L 6-cylinder and front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It is rated 12.4 L/100 km combined: about 37 litres every 300 km. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $57.66 at our price setting.
What the Flex is like
As a full-size SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.
When the Flex makes sense
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
Renting it
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
How to book
Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.
The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
Rules for renters
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
One more step
A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
