Before you rent

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

The booking steps

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
