Renting the Ford LT8501
For a rental car, here is what the Ford LT8501 brings, and how to request one. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Specs, explained
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
The LT8501 in everyday use
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with.
Best uses
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Can I rent it?
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Booking, step by step
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
What you need to rent
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

Can I rent a Ford LT8501 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
