Luup alternative: the 1985 GMC ACM

If you need a rental car, the 1985 GMC ACM is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Reading the spec sheet

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Inside and out

As a car, it is easy to drive and park in the city.

Renting the ACM from CarmaCars

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

Driver basics

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

How booking works

It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
