Luup alternative and the 1985 GMC C6
Renting the 1985 GMC C6 as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
What the figures tell you
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
When the C6 makes sense
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
What the C6 is like
As a car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.
Rent it from us
Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Booking made plain
A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Who can rent
Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.
Over to you
Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.

Can I rent a 1985 GMC C6 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
