The figures, translated

Power: the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo; drive: front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Combined fuel use is 6.7 L/100 km: about 20 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $10.39 to drive 100 km.

A good match for

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What the Civic is like

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The EPA lists 425 litres for luggage, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

Driver requirements

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Booking in plain terms

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
