The figures, translated

The 2.5L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.2 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. For 1,000 km, budget about $127.10 at our price setting.

When the Tucson makes sense

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What the Tucson is like

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Renting the Tucson from CarmaCars

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

The rules, briefly

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

From request to keys

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
