Luup alternative: the Jaguar XJS
For a rental car, the Jaguar XJS could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
What the figures tell you
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
What the XJS is like
As a sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second.
Best uses
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Renting it
None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Before you rent
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
How to book
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
Over to you
Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.

Can I rent a Jaguar XJS in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
