Renting the 2017 Kia Optima
Searching for Luup alternative and the 2017 Kia Optima? Here is what the car is like and how to rent one from us. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Specs, explained
It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid, with front-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Rated at 5.6 L/100 km combined, it needs around 17 litres for a 300 km round trip. Driving 300 km costs roughly $26.04 at our price setting.
A good match for
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
How big it is
As a large sedan, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting the car booked
A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.
Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
Rules for renters
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.
You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
