Luup alternative and the 1998 Lexus ES

Renting the 1998 Lexus ES as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

The numbers in plain words

Under the hood: the 3.0L 6-cylinder and front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated at 11.8 L/100 km combined, so budget about 35 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $18.29 per 100 km at our price setting.

How big it is

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Its 368 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Best uses

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting this car

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

Rules for renters

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

How to book

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
