The 2008 Lexus ES: Luup alternative
For a rental car, here is what the 2008 Lexus ES brings, and how to request one. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
It uses the 3.5L 6-cylinder and front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Expect about 32 litres for every 300 km, going by its 10.7 L/100 km combined rating. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $187.20.
Who the ES suits
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
How big it is
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. EPA lists 425 litres of luggage space, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
How booking works
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
Checking your details
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
Still deciding?
If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
