Luup alternative: the 2001 Lexus GS
Renting the 2001 Lexus GS as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
The 3.0L 6-cylinder is what moves it, with rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Plan on about 39 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 13.1 L/100 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $68.79 at our price setting.
What to expect from the GS
Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. With 425 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes a family's bags for a long weekend.
Who rents the GS
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
In our fleet
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Before you rent
You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.
If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
The booking steps
Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
Still deciding?
If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
