Luup alternative and the 2002 Lexus GS

If you need a rental car, read about the 2002 Lexus GS here, then request it. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

What the specs mean

The engine is the 3.0L 6-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive and a 5-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

It is rated at 12.4 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 37 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $21.70, and a 300 km weekend about $65.10.

Is it right for your trip?

It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

How big it is

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. EPA lists 425 litres of luggage space, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

Request, offer, keys

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Checking your details

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
