Luup alternative: the 2017 Lexus GS
Renting the 2017 Lexus GS as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The figures, translated
Its 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid drives through an automatic (CVT). It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Expect about 23 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.5 L/100 km combined rating. A 300 km weekend costs about $34.89 in energy at our price setting.
The GS in everyday use
Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Its 368 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who it is for
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work.
Our GS cars
Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
What to expect when you book
Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
Rules for renters
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.
Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
One more step
Send a request with your dates, and we will come back with an offer.
