The 2018 Lexus GS: Luup alternative
This page joins two things: Luup alternative, and the 2018 Lexus GS in plain words. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
What the specs mean
It uses the 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid and rear-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Combined fuel use is 7.5 L/100 km: about 23 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $34.89 in energy at our price setting.
Who rents the GS
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Living with the GS
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. For luggage, 368 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Can I rent it?
None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
How a booking comes together
You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. You pay when you approve, and only then.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
What you need to rent
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
