Luup alternative and the 2017 Lexus LX

For a rental car, here is what the 2017 Lexus LX brings, and how to request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

The figures, translated

Power comes from the 5.7L 8-cylinder, driving through an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

The combined figure, 15.8 L/100 km, means roughly 47 litres for 300 km. Expect about $27.65 per 100 km at our price setting.

Practical details

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Who rents the LX

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Rent it from us

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.

How renting with us works

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Checking your details

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
