Luup alternative and the 2007 Maybach 62
If a rental car is the plan, the 2007 Maybach 62 is worth a look; here is why. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The numbers in plain words
The 5.5L 12-cylinder turbo is what moves it, with rear-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Fuel use is rated 19.6 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 59 litres. For 1,000 km, budget about $343 at our price setting.
What to expect from the 62
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is rated at 425 litres: a family's bags for a long weekend.
When the 62 makes sense
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Can you rent one?
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Booking made plain
You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
Renting: the basics
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
Over to you
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
