The 2008 Mazda B Pickup: Luup alternative
If you need a rental car, the 2008 Mazda B Pickup is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Specs, explained
Under the hood: the 2.3L 4-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 31 litres, from its 10.2 L/100 km rating. A 300 km weekend costs about $47.43 in energy at our price setting.
What to expect from the B Pickup
A pickup is long and tall, so plan for parking and low garages.
Good uses for the B Pickup
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Can you rent one?

From request to keys
Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
What to bring
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
Your move
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
