Luup alternative and the 1981 Mazda GLC
Renting the 1981 Mazda GLC as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The numbers in plain words
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
How big it is
As a small car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.
Good uses for the GLC
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
Renting the GLC from CarmaCars
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
The steps
A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
What you need to rent
You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
Ready to ask?
Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.

Can I rent a 1981 Mazda GLC in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
