About the 2001 Mazda MX-5
The 2001 Mazda MX-5 is on this page for Luup alternative: here is what to know before you request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Living with the MX-5
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo.
Best uses
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
Rent it from us
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Who can rent
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.
Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
Requesting a car
Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
One more step
Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.

Can I rent a 2001 Mazda MX-5 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 7 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
