About the 2019 Mazda MX-5
This page joins two things: Luup alternative, and the 2019 Mazda MX-5 in plain words. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Combined fuel use is 7.9 L/100 km: about 24 litres for 300 km. Driving 300 km costs roughly $41.49 at our price setting.
Inside and out
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo.
Who the MX-5 suits
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Renting the MX-5 from CarmaCars
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
How it works
Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
What we ask of drivers
You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.
Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
