Luup alternative with this car
If a rental car is the plan, the 2020 MINI Cooper is worth a look; here is why. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Engine and fuel
Its powertrain is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Its combined rating is 7.5 L/100 km, which means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $13.13 per 100 km at our price setting.
The Cooper in everyday use
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The EPA lists 255 litres for luggage, roughly about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Best uses
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Rent this car
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Rules for renters
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
Booking in plain terms
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.
Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Ask us
The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
