Luup alternative and the 2016 MINI John Cooper Works
Searching for Luup alternative? Here is the 2016 MINI John Cooper Works: what it is like and how to rent it. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Under the hood
The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with a 6-speed automatic, drives it. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
It is rated 8.6 L/100 km combined: about 26 litres every 300 km. In energy, every 100 km costs about $15.05 at our price setting.
Room inside
As a small car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. In plain terms, its 255 litres of luggage space hold about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Who rents the John Cooper Works
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Booking, step by step
A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
Renting: the basics
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
