The 2012 Nissan Cube: Luup alternative

Renting the 2012 Nissan Cube as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Engine and fuel

The 1.8L 4-cylinder does the work, through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

At 8.4 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 25 litres of fuel. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $39.06 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits people who want car handling with extra load space.

What to expect from the Cube

As a wagon, it has the length of a car with a bigger load space at the back. With 311 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

In our fleet

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.

The steps

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Licence, age and card

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
