The Macan and Ruby

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Ruby starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Ruby is about 1,626 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

Around Ruby you will also find Hopewell, Beech Grove and Gatesville.

Reading the spec sheet

It is powered by the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

By the EPA's combined rating of 12.1 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 36 litres. For 1,000 km, budget about $211.80 at our price setting.

Practical details

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

When the Macan makes sense

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Renting it

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 8 similar cars are listed below.

What we check

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

What happens when you ask for a car

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
