The Rivian R2: Luup alternative
Renting the Rivian R2 as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Engine and fuel
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
What the R2 is like
Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.
When the R2 makes sense
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Can you rent one?
We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Booking in plain terms
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.
Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
Licence, age and card
Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.
Ready when you are

Can I rent a Rivian R2 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
