If a rental car is the plan, the 2017 Rolls-Royce Ghost is worth a look; here is why. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Engine and fuel
Under the hood: the 6.6L 12-cylinder turbo and rear-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Rated at 16.7 L/100 km combined, it needs around 50 litres for a 300 km round trip. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $29.23.
Who rents the Ghost
It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
What to expect from the Ghost
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. In plain terms, its 396 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Checking your details
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
How renting with us works
Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. You pay only once you approve the offer.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
One more step
Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
