Who can rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

How a booking comes together

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
