Luup alternative: the Subaru GLF
Luup alternative: the Subaru GLF. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Specs, explained
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Space and size
As a car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.
Renting this car
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
How to book
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
Before you rent
You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.
Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
Questions first?
Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.

Can I rent a Subaru GLF in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
