Luup alternative: the 2017 Subaru WRX
Want the 2017 Subaru WRX as a rental car? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
What the figures tell you
The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.
It is rated 10.2 L/100 km combined: about 31 litres every 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $53.55 in energy at our price setting.
Living with the WRX
As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who it is for
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
Renting it
Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Getting the car booked
It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
Driver basics
Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
Make a request
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
