What you need to rent
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
Booking in plain terms
