A note on Unity

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Unity starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,610 km from Unity, and does not deliver there.

Rolfe Junction, Bovine and North Crossett are the closest places to Unity on our list.

Engine and fuel

It is powered by the electric motor, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Energy use is rated at 15.6 kWh/100 km, about 47 kWh for 300 km. The EPA rates its range at 568 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. Every 100 km costs about $2.34 in electricity at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What to expect from the Model 3

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. With 425 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes a family's bags for a long weekend.

Can you rent one?

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below.

Before pickup

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

From your dates to the handover

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
