Luup alternative and the 2013 Tesla Model S
The 2013 Tesla Model S is on this page for Luup alternative: here is what to know before you request one. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
Under the hood: the electric motor and rear-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Energy use is rated at 22.6 kWh/100 km, about 68 kWh for 300 km. Rated range: 426 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $3.39, and a 300 km weekend about $10.17.
A good match for
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
How big it is
As a large sedan, it is easy to drive and park in the city. At 736 litres, the trunk fits bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
Getting one from us

The booking steps
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
Renting: the basics
At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
Next step
Send a request today, and approve the offer only if it works for you.
