The 2019 Tesla Model X: Luup alternative
For a rental car, the 2019 Tesla Model X could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
What the specs mean
The electric motor is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.
Rated energy use is 23.9 kWh per 100 km. On paper it goes 523 km between charges, less in winter. The electricity for 100 km comes to about $3.59 at our price setting.
What the Model X is like
The higher seat of a full-size SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.
Who the Model X suits
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. You pay only once you approve the offer.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Who can rent
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
