Luup alternative and the 2021 Toyota Corolla XSE

Luup alternative and the 2021 Toyota Corolla XSE: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Java and the Corolla

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Close by are Selby, Lowry and Sitka, each with its own page.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Rated at 7.0 L/100 km combined, it needs around 21 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, it costs about $10.85 to drive 100 km.

Space and size

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Our Corolla cars

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check.

Getting the car booked

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

Before you rent

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
