Arranging the work for the M
Your 1981 BMW M needs mechanical repairs or maintenance? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.
About your M
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your M, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
The steps
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
Your rental while you wait
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
Good habits for your car
Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Send a request
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
