The BYD: Mechanic
The BYD and mechanical repairs or maintenance: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. Regular maintenance keeps small problems from turning into large ones.
Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
How the request works
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
A rental while you wait
We collect the rental when your car is back. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
What to ask
Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Small things that help
Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Get an offer
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
