Arranging the work for the Edge
For mechanical repairs or maintenance on the Ford Edge, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.
Before the shop sees your Edge
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
The steps
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in.
A car while yours is in the shop
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Before the shop starts
If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Good habits for your car
Check that all lights work every few weeks. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
Make a request
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
