What to ask
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
Between shop visits
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
