Mechanic: how we help
Searching for mechanic for the 2016 Honda Civic DX? CarmaCars does not do this work itself; we arrange it with a trusted shop. Tell us what the car is doing, and we find a shop suited to the job.
Your Civic and the shop
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. If you have the service history of your Civic, have it ready for the shop. The 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo does the work, through an automatic (CVT).
Who does what
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in.
What to ask
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
Good habits for your car
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Look at the tire tread before long trips.
