CarmaCars does not do this work; you keep driving while the shop has your car. We deliver a rental to you, by the day, at our usual rates.

Mechanic for the Karma
For mechanical repairs or maintenance on the Karma, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Tell us what the car is doing, and we find a shop suited to the job.
Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
How the request works
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
A car meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Car care, briefly
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
Talk to a person
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
