What to ask
Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Car care, briefly
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
