The 2008 Lexus LS: Mechanic
The 2008 Lexus LS and mechanical repairs or maintenance: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. Regular maintenance keeps small problems from turning into large ones.
Your car, your notes
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your LS, have it ready for the shop. The 5.0L 8-cylinder hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at.
The steps
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
Keep moving meanwhile
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. We collect the rental when your car is back. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Talking to the shop
Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Between shop visits
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Look at the tire tread before long trips. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
Ask us
Start with a short request; a person replies within one business day.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
